World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

Who: Thousands of children around the globe are participating in The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ to help beat the leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-4. 40 kids and families will be on site at Muskegon High School to participate in this global event.

 

What: The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ will take place over the course of 24 hours at an estimated 600 locations in more than 20 countries with the goal of generating 1 billion media impressions for the Swimming Lessons Save Lives™ message by 2019.

 

When:  Thursday, June 21, 2018
10:30 am:   Media check-in begins
10:45 am:   WLSL pre-event kick off
11 am:   WLSL begins

Why: The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ was created to spread the word that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™ – tragically, drowning is the leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-4.

 

Interview/Visuals:
Holly Alway (Injury Prevention, Mercy Health) and Bruce Spoelman (Muskegon YMCA) will be available for interviews, visuals of 40 children participating in the lesson taking place in the pool at Muskegon High School.
