Street Performers Take Over Western Ave.

Downtown Muskegon will explode with entertainment once again with our summer Street Performers event. Formerly a First Fridays event, the Street Performers series now stands on its own, ready to take over downtown sidewalks, street corners, and stages on Friday, August 3rd from 6-8 pm. Performers will include break dancers, a unicycle rider, balloon animals, bucket drummers, and more! Guests can also enjoy ice cream, shaved ice, various music, and then some as they stroll down Western Avenue.

“The Street Performers event really brings a special kind of energy to downtown Muskegon,” said Elizabeth Tibbe, events and promotions director for Downtown Muskegon Now “there is so much talent along the street and it is something that everyone from the community can come and enjoy.”

This event is family-friendly, free, and open to the public. Many downtown shops as well as the Western Market will be open during the event. Those attending the event are also encouraged to head to Hackley Park for our iconic Parties in the Park concert series.

The Street Performers are an event of Downtown Muskegon Now, but would not be possible without our generous community sponsors. If you’re interested in sponsoring the event or would like more information, please get in touch with us.
