Sandy Shecter, CPA, named Rehmann director of accounting, consulting & tax department
Troy, MI – January 9, 2017 – Rehmann has named Sandy Shecter, CPA, director of the firm’s accounting, consulting & tax (ACT) department. She will assume the role on January 1, 2017.
Shecter has been with the firm for 27 years and serves as a principal in the ACT department. She chaired Rehmann’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), led the firm’s tax internal inspections and is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Leadership group.

Shecter is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies and a concentration in accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs. She previously served on the finance committee for Hillel Day School and the audit committee for Frankel Jewish Academy. She is the past president of the Woman’s American ORT (Michigan Region) and serves on the Michigan Board of Directors for ORT America. Her most passionate community involvement comes from her eight-year participation in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day breast cancer walk, which consists of thousands of people walking 60 miles in three days to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
