Baker College’s Muskegon CIM invites public to meet ‘HELL’S KITCHEN’ contestant Jan. 12

Events include a meet and greet, viewing of ‘Black Jacket Lounge’ episode

MUSKEGON, Mich. – Baker College’s Culinary Institute of Michigan in Muskegon will host Kimberly Ann Ryan, a CIM graduate and current “HELL’S KITCHEN” contestant, at a meet and greet and an episode viewing Thursday, Jan. 12.

The meet and greet is open to the public 4:30-6 p.m. at the CIM, 336 W. Clay Ave., Muskegon. Ryan will be available for photos/selfies and autographs.

At 7:30 p.m., Hennessey’s Irish Pub and Restaurant will welcome Ryan and the public to a viewing party for the “Black Jacket Lounge” episode of “HELL’S KITCHEN,” which airs locally at 8 p.m. on Fox 17 WXMI-TV. Space is limited. Early arrival is recommended. Hennessey’s is located at 885 Jefferson St., Muskegon.

Ryan is one of six chefs remaining on Fox network’s popular “HELL’S KITCHEN” reality cooking show. The “Black Jacket Lounge” episode will reveal the five finalists who will be presented with the coveted black chef’s jackets.

The last contestant standing at the end of the season wins the grand prize: a head chef position at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar at The Venetian Las Vegas, a total prize value of $250,000.

Ryan is a Traverse City native, who after graduating from Michigan State University turned her attention to becoming a chef. She graduated from the CIM in 2012 and currently works as an event chef in the Traverse City area.

During the meet and greet, tours of the CIM will be available. It’s a three-story, 40,000-square-foot facility with classrooms and labs specifically designed for culinary education.
