GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – For the second year in a row, the Best and Brightest competition recognized
Muskegon-based marketing agency Revel as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest
Companies to Work For.

The award is presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association and is given out to
companies who display excellence in their human resource, company culture, and employee
enrichment practices. These businesses must exemplify “better business, richer lives, and stronger
communities.”

Revel is a marketing agency that builds strong brands that grow manufacturing businesses by
executing marketing strategies that move people to action.

The selection process to earn the Best and Brightest designation is both vigorous and in-depth. It
begins with a 130-question application to glean details on everything from company finances, diversity,
leadership goals, and more. The application is reviewed by a team of local business leaders to ensure
the recipient is qualified to advance to the next round.

The companies who advance are then sent an employee survey to get employee feedback about pay,
benefits, company culture, work-life balance, and personal advancement opportunities. The results are
analyzed by a third-party research firm, and the nominees are ranked based on a combined score of
the application and employee survey.

After all was said and done, Revel was, once again, one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to
Work For.

“Revel’s culture is one-of-a-kind,” said Art Director Kayla Slager. “I’ve worked here for two years, and I
always feel supported and encouraged on every project. The people and our overall culture are very
authentic and genuine. Everybody is just trying to be the best version of themselves and not simply fit
the mold of their position stereotype. Revel is the perfect environment to thrive.”

Revel is founded on a solid and evolving company culture, which has played a major part in them
earning this award. Over the years, they’ve done a number of different things – from tailgates to
ArtPrize trips to an in-office popcorn machine – to spice up life around the office.

“Working at Revel gives you the freedom and authority to make decisions and solve problems on your
own. It really builds a strong sense of accountability,” said Account Manager Sarah Powers. “I’m so
proud to be a part of a company that cares so deeply about their team. We all lean on each other to
utilize our different talents and serve our clients in the best way possible.”

The award ceremony, hosted by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, will take place on
May 3 at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids. Each company that participates receives a complimentary
assessment report and the opportunity to take advantage of other benefits, such as workshops, case
studies, and various resources throughout the year.

Companies such as Revel reflect the trend of increased emphasis on employee satisfaction being seen
in West Michigan and throughout the nation.

“Being recognized as one of the Best and Brightest two years in a row highlights the importance of
building solid relationships and a strong culture. Our team is amazing, and I couldn’t be more proud to
work alongside such dedicated individuals,” said Partner Andy Maciejewski.
