WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow today announced that the Muskegon County Airport has been awarded a $171,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to rehabilitate lighting systems and maintain pavement integrity.
“It is vital that our airports are equipped with the necessary resources to facilitate the safe travel of passengers and increased commerce,” said Senator Peters. “This grant will help Muskegon County Airport make key upgrades and improve airport operations.”
“This funding will make traveling to and from Muskegon safer and more efficient for everyone,” said Senator Stabenow. “Safe and reliable air travel will also help encourage businesses to invest in the region and create more jobs.”
