MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MI – The Muskegon Heights Public Schools (MHPS) Board of Education elected its officers for the 2024 school year at its annual organizational meeting earlier this month.

President Trinell Scott, Vice President Safornia Johnson-Pierce, Secretary Marjorie Cook, Treasurer Estelita Rankin and Trustees Marianne Darnell and Mark Glover will continue service to the Board in their respective roles.

The MHPS Board of Education will continue to work closely with district educators, staff and the community to guarantee a high-quality, local education.

“We are eager to continue our work at such a pivotal and promising time,” said Scott. “The state’s recent actions to provide debt relief to the district marks a significant shift in our ability to deliver high-quality education and resources to our students.”
