Seeking Nominations for the 2024 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Awards

 

Muskegon, MI – Championing the spirit of female leadership and community empowerment, the prestigious ATHENA on the Lakeshore awards are presented annually in collaboration with the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg. Recognizing the remarkable achievements of women on the lakeshore, these awards celebrates those who exemplify not only excellence and innovation in their professional endeavors but also a profound commitment to uplifting others and enriching the fabric of our communities. From established leaders who serve as guiding lights to emerging talents shaping the future, the ATHENA and ATHENA Young Professional awards honor those who leave an incredible mark on Muskegon and North Ottawa County areas through their remarkable contributions.

 

An ATHENA Award Nominee:

  • Is an established leader and mentor who assists women in reaching their full potential.
  • Demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession.
  • Devotes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
  • Involved in building relationships & collaboration in the region.
  • Lives and/or works in North Ottawa or Muskegon County.

 

An ATHENA Young Professional Nominee:

  • Is an emerging leader who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession.
  • Serves as a role model for young women personally and professionally.
  • Has a minimum of five (5) years professional experience.
  • Provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
  • Lives and/or works in North Ottawa or Muskegon County.

 

Nominations must be submitted by May 10, 2024. The link to the online nomination form can be found here or at muskegon.org or grandhavenchamber.org.

The award recipients will be announced and honored at the ATHENA on the Lakeshore Award Luncheon on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Trillium Catering and Event Center. Reservations can be made by visiting muskegon.org or by calling the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce at 231.722.3751.
