Muskegon, MI – This week, as part of its positive energy campaign, the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce will honor five milestone anniversaries. In celebration of National Tourism Week, the selected businesses are all integral to the tourism industry. Certificates of recognition will be presented at the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber’s Business After Hours event on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Muskegon County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, located at the historic train station on W. Western Avenue.

The businesses being recognized are:
SS Milwaukee Clipper Preservation Inc. – 120 years
West Michigan Dock & Market Corp. – 90 years
Tyler Sales Company, Inc. – 90 years
Parties in the Park – 40 years
The Lewis House Bed & Breakfast – 10 years

So far, the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce has identified 34 businesses with significant milestones in 2024.  A complete list of businesses is found here.

Chamber Board Chair, Jonathan Wilson, put forward the idea of recognizing milestones because he wants the positive energy along the Muskegon Lakeshore to spread throughout the community.  “The Muskegon Lakeshore has come a long way in its growth and development,” says Wilson, “It is time to spread the word about businesses that have been successful long term and support them in their continued efforts.”

The Business After House event is hosted by and for chamber members.  Please contact a Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber member if you would like to attend.
