Mary Boyd recognized as the 2018 ATHENA on the lakeshore award recipient

Muskegon, Michigan – Mary Boyd, Chief Integration Officer for Trinity Health Michigan, was honored as the 2018 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Award Recipient. The announcement was made today at the annual luncheon celebration, held at the Muskegon Country Club. The ATHENA awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding lakeshore women who have demonstrated excellence in their business or profession, have provided valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in their community, assist women in reaching their full potential and exhibit the spirit of regional collaboration.

 

 

Mary Boyd, Chief Integration Officer for Trinity Health Michigan, is an accomplished healthcare executive and community supporter. She is responsible for integrating operations, policies and implementing best practices across 8 hospitals, and over 60 ambulatory sites within a network of nearly 1400 providers. Mary has received recognition in the community for her leadership at various not-for-profit organizations. This recognition includes being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Muskegon Rotary Club and receiving the Reese Award from the American Red Cross – the highest award granted to a volunteer board member. She serves as the Chair of the board for United Way of the Lakeshore, is a member of the American Red Cross Lakeshore Region Board and the Greater Muskegon Service League. Mary is approachable, available and committed to seeing women succeed in their career aspirations.

 

 

The ATHENA award program also recognizes a young professional recipient each year. Meghan Heritage, founder and owner of BlueWest Properties, was honored as the 2018 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Young Professional Award Recipient. Meghan focuses her efforts on providing the absolute best in client care and service. As the creator of The BE Event, she works to empower women in West Michigan and beyond to see their own potential.

 

 

The recipients are chosen by a selection committee composed of representatives from the participating Chambers and community business leaders. Nine finalists and four young professional finalists were recognized at the luncheon, which was attended by over 250 regional community and business leaders.
