Marvin Sapp’s Muskegon purchase includes rectory, church in need of repairs

MUSKEGON, MI – Nationally recognized gospel singer Bishop Marvin Sapp will begin offering services downtown Muskegon sometime in 2017.

The sale of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church from the Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids to Sapp, of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church was finalized on Tuesday, Jan. 3, according to the diocese.

The rectory next door to the church was included in the sale. Plans for the rectory have not been revealed.
