Jeffrey the Camel’s Birthday Celebration!
New Era, MI – August 10th Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo will be celebrating their beloved camel’s 12th birthday. Jeffrey’s Birthday Party and Corn Roast will take place from 11am to 5:30pm, featuring cake at 2pm, live music from The Barefoot Gypsies 1-4pm, face painting from 1-3pm, and a scavenger hunt available all day. Event admission is $9.95 per person, children two years and under are free! The event also features a corn roast with all-you-can-eat corn on the cob, french fries, soda or water, and choice of hamburger, hotdog, or chicken strips. Corn roast prices for adults are $9.95 and children 10 and under are $6.95.
“Jeffrey is loved by people near and far, he receives birthday cards from fans all over the world, we all sing him happy birthday and feed him cake,” said owner Cindy Lewis, “There is a giant birthday card for all of the guests to sign, it’s just a really fun time for everyone, especially Jeffrey.”
The annual event is held the second Saturday of August and brings the community together to celebrate this famous camel. Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo features 700 acres of homegrown produce, over 75 animals in their petting farm, and more than 46 farm fun activities.
