Muskegon, MI – Colleen Gibson was selected with the prestigious 2021 Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year Award for outstanding leadership and service in the business community. Colleen received a unanimous vote from the Chamber Ambassador team of 25 members.

The Ambassador of the Year award recognizes a person who participates in the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Ambassador League who exemplifies outstanding participation in chamber events, volunteers for Chamber activities, assists with new Chamber member visits, and is willing to help and engage with initiatives that support Chamber member awareness and growth.

“Colleen had an amazing year and is so deserving of this award. As we all tried to return to normal last year, Collen didn’t skip beat with her level of engagement and support of the business community,” said Tamara Jackson-Gatewood, Director of Membership Services for the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.

Colleen Gibson has been with SERVPRO of Muskegon since September of 2011.  While working at SERVPRO, she is very active with community events such as the Muskegon County Fire Prevention committee, the Sportsmen for Youth event and local Fire Prevention Open House events.  Colleen is also the Vice President of the Muskegon Adjuster’s Association (who has donated over $150,000 to local charities over the past 25 years), and volunteers at events when needed.

“Quite honestly it does not surprise me, ” said Randy Mulder, President of SERVPRO of Muskegon. “Her work ethic is second to none.”

Married with two adult children and two fur babies, she lives in Twin Lake and enjoys spending time on the water, at the beach, traveling, golfing, and bowling.

Colleen will be presented with the coveted award at the Chamber’s Business for Breakfast on May 20, held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Muskegon Convention Center in downtown Muskegon.
