Alma/Ithaca, MI – Betten Baker is expanding their footprint with recent acquisitions of two mid-Michigan dealerships. This is the second big announcement of expansion for Betten Baker in 2018, with the potential for even more in the coming months. This acquisition drives the total number of Betten Baker dealerships to 16 locations. The newest locations include Alma Chevrolet
Buick GMC & Ithaca Chevrolet.

Starting early in 2018 with the announcement of the acquisition of the Chevrolet Buick dealership located in Cadillac, Betten Baker is quickly following that up with
news of more. 2018 is gearing up to be the biggest year in Betten Baker history, with additional locations and higher sales all leading to an even bigger footprint
than ever before. Betten Baker will be taking over operations of Alma Chevrolet Buick GMC & Ithaca Chevrolet, April 19, 2018.

Betten Baker co-owner Chris Baker stated that they will retain all employees at both new locations. He also stated that David Prahl has been brought in as GM of these locations to take of the place of the past owner, Tommy Fuerst. These two new locations perform well with sales and service. The transition is expected to be smooth. They are Betten Baker’s most eastern locations and expand their current footprint into new markets. Betten Baker auto group has locations in several counties across Michigan and proudly employs over 650 employees.

“Betten Baker has been a staple in the West Michigan community for 35 years,” Says Co-Owner Chris Baker, “for some time now we have been looking to expand into Mid-Michigan and connect with that community. Acquiring these well-performing dealerships will give us the perfect opportunity to do just that.”

Betten Baker Chevrolet Cadillac GMC celebrated 35 years in March and has continuously expanded their Muskegon presence by adding Betten Baker Honda and Betten Baker Hyundai and an additional used car location. In addition, they have expanded into other communities including Coopersville, Twin Lake, Lowell, Grandville, Big Rapids, Allegan, Ludington and Cadillac.

Betten Baker’s Massive Motor Mall has continued to be a leader in automotive sales along the lakeshore and will continue this trend into new markets. Their progressive attitude and actions in the community allow them to not only remain a strong West Michigan employer, but also help them remain successful in the future by exceeding the needs and expectations of today’s consumers.
