World’s Longest Beer Trail Set for Muskegon State Park

Muskegon, Mich. – Muskegon Oktoberfest is a two day fundraiser for Muskegon Winter Sports Complex, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization.

 

The event begins Friday, October 6th with the traditional “tapping of the kegs” ceremony and the first 5K Fun Trail Run under the lights at Muskegon State Park.

 

On Saturday at 3:00pm families are encouraged to come out and enjoy Kid’s activities, including America’s only wheel luge track, archery, a pumpkin roll down the luge track and more will be available from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Music from traditional German band Ein Prosit will begin at 3:30pm.

 

The beer trail begins on Saturday from 5:00pm to 9:00 and features specially brewed beers from Pigeon Hill Brewing Company, Unruly Brewing Co., Fetch Brewing Co., and Grand Armory Brewing Company. Beers from serveral other craft breweries, hard ciders, wine and domestic beer will also be available.

 

Five biergartens throughout the trail will feature live musical acts from 5pm to 9pm. The Oktoberfest main stage will feature headlining act Westside Soul Surfers from 7pm to 11pm

 

Free shuttle service will be available to transport guests due to limited parking at the Winter Sports Complex. Shuttle service will run Friday from 6pm to 11:30pm and Saturday from 5pm to11:30pm and pick up at the State Park beach parking lot and the Block House. VIP passes to park at the Winter Sports Complex can be purchased on the event webpage. Guests are encouraged to use the shuttle system to alleviate parking and traffic congestion around the Winter Sports Complex.
