The White Lake Chamber Music Festival is known for presenting world-class professional artists, and it also celebrates the joy and value of lifelong music-making. The July 23 and 24 Salon Concerts, presented under the theme Music for the Love of It, highlight musicians whose dedication to chamber music stems from a lifelong passion for performing, learning, and sharing music with others.

The featured Ischia Chamber Players first met while participating in the annual Ischia Chamber Music Festival in Italy, directed by Aldo DeVero. Each spring, musicians from around the world gather on the island of Ischia for a week of rehearsals, collaboration, friendship, and performance. Their appearance in White Lake reflects the Festival’s commitment to fostering artistic connections that transcend geography and professional status.

“These concerts celebrate something essential about music,” Festival organizers said. “While we are proud to present internationally acclaimed artists, we also want to encourage and honor the many dedicated amateur musicians who continue making music throughout their lives. Music enriches communities, builds friendships, and brings joy at every level.”

Festival organizers describe the Salon Concerts as an opportunity to bring people together through music in a comfortable, community-centered setting.

“These concerts are intentionally intimate,” organizers said. “They invite audiences to slow down, enjoy a summer morning, and experience live music in a personal and meaningful way.”

The Salon Concerts are open to the public, with free-will donations accepted, and provide a unique opportunity to hear outstanding musicians in one of Montague’s favorite gathering places.
