Muskegon, MI – Recent data showed economic impact from the arts and culture community in Muskegon County exceeding $41.7 million in 2021. To celebrate those findings and to continue exploring the benefits of art and culture along the lakeshore, the Muskegon Arts & Culture Coalition (MACC) is offering a county-wide event called Tour the Town.  The event encourages the community to “Visit Muskegon’s Creative Collections,” and will feature many of the coalition venues. Tour the Town will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 10am-4pm.

Tickets are $5 and kids nine and under are free. Each ticket is valid for one admittance to all of the MACC participating locations on October 15, 2022 only. This is a $120 value. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

This open-house style event will host a variety of interactive and visually stimulating experiences that support and promote the unique nature of each venue. Examples of activities include enjoying live music, playing historical games, touring behind the scenes, viewing rare books, participating in an improv class, creating take-home crafts, and much more! A full list of events and specific times can be found HERE.

Carla Flanders, MACC committee member commented, “This family-friendly event opens the doors to creativity, explores culture and encourages artful experiences. Plus, you get to visit as many arts and culture locations in one day for only $5!”
