The Festival of Trees Art brings nostalgic holiday collections to the Muskegon Museum of Art

MUSKEGON, MI — Take a trip down memory lane with nostalgic holiday collections at the Muskegon Museum of Art beginning November 27 through January 5. From vintage ornaments and trains to holiday Barbies and a forest of bottlebrush trees, this exhibition is sure to spark your holiday joy.

The Festival of Trees is an annual holiday tradition at the Muskegon Museum of Art and a community favorite. The event is filled with holiday activities, live music, an auction, teddy bear checkups, and more. To see a full schedule, go to muskegonartmuseum.org/festivaloftrees

The Festival of Trees is a fundraising event for the museum. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival in the MMA Museum Store.

Public: Adults $17 | Seniors $13

MMA Members: $5

Thursdays: $5 for all visitors

Events:

The Festival of Trees galleries, auction, and live music will be open during usual museum hours from November 27 – January 5.

Senior Tuesday Mornings: Every Tuesday morning during the Festival of Trees, seniors (65+) get early access to the museum from 10 – 11 AM and $2 off admission. Coffee and snacks will be available.

Teddy Bear Trail – Saturday, November 30 | 9 AM – 11 AM

Bring your family and favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal on a special holiday trail through Downtown Muskegon. Jingle along our holiday teddy bear trail for donuts, teddy bear check-ups and adoptions, hot cocoa and candy canes with Santa Claus, and so much more! Don’t have a stuffed animal? We’ll have a limited supply available for adoption! Children must be accompanied by one adult.

 $5 per person |Advanced ticket purchase is required.

 Robin and Linda Williams Holiday Concert – Saturday, December 7 | 6 – 9 PM

Folk musicians and “A Prairie Home Companion” stars, Robin and Linda Williams are closing in on a five decade career that has included 24 albums, thousands of concerts on three continents, a Robert Altman directed film, hundreds of performances on NPR’s “A Prairie Home Companion” and other radio and television shows. They will be in concert at the Muskegon Museum of Art for the Festival of Trees performing their famous holiday show on Saturday, December 7.

Super Saturday & Hot Cocoa Hop – Saturday, December 14 | 11 AM – 2 PM

Meet Santa, warm up with hot cocoa, and create your own holiday ornament at the Muskegon Museum of Art on December 14. The cost to attend is free, however, there will be a $5 admission fee to access the Festival of Trees galleries.

The art museum is also hosting a food drive on December 14. Bring a canned good item to donate and receive a coupon to the Museum Gift Store.
