The Alley Door Club Music Series Celebrates 20 Years at the Frauenthal Center

MUSKEGON, MI — The beloved Alley Door Club Music Series returns for its 20th season, blending a nod to its roots with a groove toward the future. This year, the series finds a new home inside the Frauenthal Center’s Hilt Building Reception Gallery, offering fans the same high-energy atmosphere they know and love—now in an intimate new setting.

Each Alley Door Club show features live music, a full cash bar, fresh popcorn, and a lively social vibe. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with live performances from 7:00–10:00 PM. Guests can also enjoy Happy Hour from 6:00–7:00 PM, with $1 off all drinks.

20th Anniversary Kickoff Party: Big Daddy Fox & Friends

Friday, February 6
The milestone season kicks off with Big Daddy Fox & Friends—an entertainer who has been part of the Alley Door Club since the very beginning. The night features a feel-good mix of live R&B, rockin’ blues, and soulful favorites. To mark the occasion, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary cake and champagne toast in celebration of 20 years of music and memories.

Yard Sale Underwear

Friday, February 13
Muskegon’s own “Knickers with Attitudes” brings a night of high-energy fun and party vibes. Known for their playful spirit, funny hats, and crowd-pleasing performances, Yard Sale Underwear delivers dance hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and today.

Melophobix

Friday, February 20
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Melophobix brings their signature “Cage-Free Funk,” a genre-blending sound rooted in funk, reggae, rock, soul, and jam-band grooves. With dynamic live shows, original music, and reimagined covers, the band has shared stages with national acts including Sublime with Rome, Gogol Bordello, and The Wailers.

The Vincent Hayes Band

Friday, March 6
Michigan-native Vincent Hayes returns to the Alley Door Club stage for the first time since 2020. A powerhouse blues guitarist and vocalist with a 35-year career, Hayes is a longtime fan favorite and Blues Music Award nominee. Known for raw, soulful performances, he has shared the stage with legends such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Joe Bonamassa.

Flexadecibel

Friday, March 13
Based in Muskegon, Flexadecibel is a seven-piece funk, soul, and rock powerhouse. Featuring bangin’ originals and fresh takes on classic and modern covers, the band’s high-energy performances guarantee a packed dance floor and nonstop groove.

That Beatles Thing

Friday, March 27
That Beatles Thing returns to the Alley Door Club, bringing the timeless sound and spirit of the Fab Four for a night of nostalgia and crowd favorites.

Westside Soul Surfers

Friday, April 10
The season concludes with Westside Soul Surfers, West Michigan’s hippest horn band, playing favorites from rock, R&B, and soul for a high-energy finale to the 20th anniversary season.
