STACEY RUWE RECOGNIZED AS THE 2022 ATHENA ON THE LAKESHORE AWARD RECIPIENT
Spring Lake, Michigan – Stacey Ruwe, Associate Broker at Ruwe Homes at Five Star Lakeshore, was honored as the 2022 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Award Recipient. The announcement was made on October 4 at the annual luncheon celebration, held at the Spring Lake Country Club. The ATHENA awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding lakeshore women who have demonstrated excellence in their business or profession, have provided valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in their community, assist women in reaching their full potential and exhibit the spirit of regional collaboration.
Stacey Ruwe is active in the real estate industry in both Muskegon and Ottawa Counties. She is the current president of the Women’s Council of Realtors Lakeshore working to empower women in the real estate industry. Stacey is also the president of Homeless Prevention Partners and an active volunteer for many non-profits in Muskegon and Ottawa counties. Her dedication to both the real estate industry and the lakeshore communities earned her the Good Neighbor Award by Michigan Realtors in 2021.
The ATHENA on the Lakeshore program also recognizes a Young Professional Recipient each year. Rachel Gorman, Director of Development for Pioneer Resources was honored as the 2022 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Young Professional Award Recipient. Her latest achievement exemplifies her commitment to civic engagement and creating an inclusive community for all, as she was elected Commissioner at Large for the City of Muskegon.
The recipients are chosen by a selection committee composed of representatives from the participating Chambers and community business leaders. Ten finalists and eleven young professional finalists were recognized at the luncheon, which was attended by over 300 regional community and business leaders.
