Muskegon, MI – AgeWell Services of West Michigan, together with the DTE Energy Foundation and other key partners, is excited to host the 2025 DTE Energy Foundation Holiday Meal for adults 60 and older. This annual event across Oceana, Muskegon and Ottawa counties provides a nutritious and freshly prepared holiday meal and a welcome place for older adults to gather, connect and celebrate the holiday season.

The 2025 DTE Energy Foundation Holiday Meal will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 with meal service available at 10 Lunch & Activity Centers. Reservations are required and may be made between November 10 and December 5 by calling 2-1-1 or contacting the local Lunch & Activity. Many sites are filling up quickly, but there are still plenty of open reservations available at the Driftwood Café, offering a spacious and welcoming setting for holiday dining.

Thanks to the generosity of the DTE Energy Foundation, the Muskegon County Senior Millage, CALL 2-1-1 and Senior Resources of West Michigan, more than 1,400 older adults are expected to enjoy a holiday meal this year. For many participants, this gathering is more than a meal. It is a moment of connection, companionship and holiday cheer during a season that can feel isolating for those living alone.

“Holiday meals are about more than food. They are about community,” said Kris VanderStelt, Executive Director of AgeWell Services. “At the DTE Energy Foundation Holiday Meal event, older adults in our communities will experience warmth, joy and a sense of belonging this holiday season. We are deeply grateful for partners who help ensure no senior feels forgotten.”

Reservations are required and close this Friday, December 5, 2025. We encourage any older adults interested to reserve their spot as soon as possible.
