One Day. Statewide Impact. Endless Community Pride.
Community Impact Day is an annual day of service that unites businesses, volunteers, and community members to make a meaningful difference across Muskegon County. Each year, hundreds of volunteers come together to complete hands-on projects that strengthen our neighborhoods, support local nonprofits, and uplift the spaces where we live, work, and play.
What began as a local initiative has grown into a statewide movement. The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce proudly partners with the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and chambers across Michigan to create a unified day of service that demonstrates the power of collaboration.
Together, we show what can happen when businesses and communities join forces for the greater good.
Save the Date: Community Impact Day 2026 is Wednesday, May 13, 2026!

A Day of Hands-On Service
From painting and landscaping to donation drives, cleanup efforts, and nonprofit support projects, volunteers of all ages and abilities come ready to help. Businesses form teams, individuals sign up to pitch in, and nonprofit partners identify projects that can be completed in a single day but create lasting impact.
No matter your role, your contribution helps build a stronger, cleaner, and more connected Muskegon.
Why It MattersCommunity Impact Day:
By participating, businesses show their commitment to corporate social responsibility while fostering teamwork and connection among their employees. Volunteers gain the opportunity to learn about local organizations and the challenges they address every day. And nonprofits receive the support they need to continue serving our community. |

A Statewide Movement
Our partnership with chambers across Michigan demonstrates the strength of the business community working together. Muskegon joins the West Coast Chamber and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce to amplify impact, share resources, and promote a culture of service throughout the state.
When chambers unite, communities thrive.

Get Involved
Whether you’re looking to volunteer individually, gather a team from your workplace, or register a nonprofit project site, there is a place for everyone in Community Impact Day.
Together, we can make a powerful difference—one project, one organization, and one community at a time.
