Pere Marquette Park upgrade will add barrier-free playground, bathrooms

MUSKEGON, MI – Pere Marquette Park will be updated in late 2018 to include a handicap accessible playground and two barrier-free family restrooms.

The project will be funded by a $220,700 Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund grant awarded to the city of Muskegon in 2016. The improvement project at the Lake Michigan park was just one of 87 approved for several Michigan communities which received a total of $19.4 million in grant funding.
