Orchard View’s Director of Business and Personnel is recognized

December 3, 2015 — Kim Bidwell, Orchard View’s Director of Business and Personnel has met the requirements for renewing the Chief Financial Officer certification under the MSBO voluntary certification program.  This is a commitment of 150 hours of professional development established by the MSBO Board of Directors through their Professional Development committee.  “The Michigan School Business Official (MSBO) Voluntary Certification program represents a commitment to the profession and to providing quality services to Michigan’s School districts,” said MSBO’s Executive Director David Martell.

Superintendent Jim Nielsen said Bidwell has done a tremendous job managing both the human resources and financial functions of the district. “Mrs. Bidwell is a strong asset to our district and has worked hard to earn this distinction. We are very proud of her accomplishment!”

The Chief Financial Officer certification focuses on comprehensive and practical overviews of the key areas of school law, regulation and practice including best practices, reporting to federal state and local agencies as well as other issues focusing on school business management.
