Muskegon, Mich. (July 20, 2022)RedWater purchased Muskegon Country Club (located at 2801 Lakeshore Drive in Muskegon) in summer 2021 and just opened a new restaurant named Lake Bluff Grille at the club’s facilities on June 15, 2022. RedWater is excited to announce another initiative at Muskegon Country Club for the development of 39 freestanding semi-custom club homes built in collaboration with David C. Bos Homes. The new club home condominium community will be named Lakeside Dunes at Muskegon Country Club after its location next to the golf course and Lake Michigan parks and beaches.

David C. Bos Homes is a well-known, premier custom home builder that focuses on developments primarily along the Lakeshore. RedWater and David C. Bos Homes received final approval from the City of Muskegon Planning Commission for Lakeside Dunes at Muskegon Country Club club home community on July 12, 2022 and will now move on to the initial phase of their development, with plans to begin construction later this year.

The Lakeside Dunes neighborhood will be located on the southwest side of the Muskegon Country Club golf course, on a private road at the corner of Sherman Boulevard and Beach Street. RedWater Chief Operating Officer Craig Smith said, “It has been exciting to see the overall growth in the Muskegon area over the past few years, and we could not be prouder to be a part of its continued development. The Lakeside Dunes club home community will be an impressive neighborhood with the opportunity for several new families to join the Muskegon community.”

RedWater and David C. Bos Homes will provide additional information about the development as they get further along in the project. However, their plans include 39 freestanding semi-custom club homes with golf course or natural, wooded views. The semi-customizable features will include size, layout, and finishes, with the homes ranging from 1,500–2,100 square feet, single- or two-story options, and 2- or 3-bedroom designs. The homes will feature a master on the main floor, walkout and viewout on the lower level, and 2- or 3-stall garage with golf cart storage. The homes will also have the option of additional living space on the lower level including a rec room, full bath, and 1–2 bedrooms.

Unique features of the Lakeside Dunes neighborhood include golf cart access to Muskegon Country Club’s golf course, clubhouse, club pool, and Lake Bluff Grille restaurant, as well as nature trails for added walkability. The community will also feature access to Lake Michigan parks and beaches, within walking distance to Bronson Park, Kruse Park, and Kruse Park Dog Beach, as well as close proximity to Bluffton Bay Marina, Safe Harbor Marina, and Muskegon Yacht Club. David C. Bos Homes Chief Executive Officer and President David J. Bos said, “We are looking forward to the opportunity to design and build beautiful homes on this remarkable property. Lakeside Dunes will offer a relaxing retreat amidst the excitement of Lakeshore living! It is not often that homeowners have the ability to live in a neighborhood that has peaceful surroundings, picturesque views, and Lake Michigan access, as well as the amenities and built-in community that a well-established club like Muskegon Country Club has to offer.”
