SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — May 2026 — OAM + i’move announced the opening of their 13th physical therapy clinic, located inside the newly constructed Tiger Athletic Community Center (TACC) in Shelby Township. The 65,000-square-foot indoor sports and recreation facility, located next to Shelby Township Community Park, officially opens in June 2026.
i’move, the integrated rehabilitation division of Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon (OAM), provides hands-on, movement-based physical therapy designed to help patients recover from injury, improve function, and return to the activities they love. Together, OAM + i’move offer a seamless continuum of care—from orthopaedic evaluation and treatment to personalized rehabilitation.
The new i’move clinic is conveniently located just inside the main entrance of TACC and features a 900-square-foot space with a full wall of windows and capacity for two therapists. The Shelby Township location expands access to high-quality physical therapy services for patients across northern West Michigan.
The clinic’s location within TACC provides patients with access to a unique rehabilitation environment, including indoor turf, basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, as well as fitness and performance training areas. Specialized rehabilitation options, such as golf simulator and archery training, are also available to support individualized treatment programs.
“This space gives us an incredible opportunity to treat patients in a more active, functional environment,” said Clinic Director Matt Zahl. “Being inside TACC allows us to deliver more specific, tailored rehabilitation and better bridge the gap between rehab and real-world movement. We’re excited to serve the Shelby community and build this into a top destination for rehabilitation.”
“OAM has always been committed to improving access to high-quality orthopaedic and rehabilitation care across the communities we serve,” said Dr. Edward J.W. Shields, M.D. of Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon. “The growth of i’move as a fully integrated part of our organization allows us to extend that commitment beyond the clinic and into environments like TACC, where patients can experience a more complete and functional recovery.”
With the addition of the Shelby Township clinic, OAM + i’move now serve patients across Cascade, Grand Haven, Holland, Muskegon, Rockford, Shelby, Spring Lake, and Whitehall.
