MUSKEGON YMCA SETS KIDS UP FOR A SAFE, HEALTHY & FUN SUMMER AT HEALTHY KIDS DAY
MUSKEGON, MICH., April 2, 2025 — The Muskegon YMCA is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on April 25th from 5-8PM at McGraft Park, 2204 Wickham Drive, Muskegon. This free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season.
Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to prepare Muskegon families for a safe, healthy and fun summer. Some featured activities include family-friendly games, an on-site Mobile Farmers Market, nutritious snacks, and a sneak peek into an exciting summer of fun at the Muskegon YMCA Day Camp at McGraft Park. In addition, the first 100 families in attendance will receive a $150 Home Chef meal kit gift card—courtesy of the Muskegon Food Collective and Trinity Health—to help prepare healthy meals at home.
“It is important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said McKenna Speed, Day Camp Director at the Muskegon YMCA. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event designed to get kids moving, playing, and excited about summer adventures.”
