Muskegon YMCA Awarded $10,000 from Brightway Insurance, Lambert Family Agency through Liberty Mutual Insurance® and Safeco Insurance® 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards
Muskegon, MI — Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have officially awarded Brightway Insurance, Lambert Family Agency a 2025 Make More Happen Award for its partnership with the Muskegon YMCA, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a healthy future for Muskegon through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility programs that improve physical and mental well-being.
Initially, Brightway Insurance, Lambert Family Agency received a $5,000 donation through the Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards program for its partnership with the Muskegon YMCA. After their story was featured on the Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/brightway-lambert-family/ , the community rallied with over 500 votes and comments—triggering a matching donation and bringing the total to $10,000.
The donation will help sustain year-round YMCA programs, including diabetes prevention, cancer recovery support, blood pressure and heart health education, and swim safety classes for local third graders.

Brightway Insurance supports a wide range of YMCA initiatives that promote physical and mental wellness, including classes for chronic disease prevention, youth development activities, and health monitoring programs. The agency also plays an active role in events like the annual Seaway Run, coordinating logistics and rallying staff and family to participate. The team’s involvement extends to major fundraisers such as the Black Tie for the Y gala, where one memorable moment included a Livestrong graduate auctioning a painting that now hangs in the Brightway office as a symbol of healing and hope.

Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
