The 2025 Theme is “Step into the Future” as chosen by new board chair, Dr. Aaron Maike. “Muskegon’s legacy was built on industries that shaped our community, and now we stand on the threshold of a new era,” says Maike, “Step into the Future is about honoring the past while embracing the opportunities ahead—through collaboration, innovation, and bold leadership, we are building a stronger, more vibrant future for generations to come.”
Rachel Gorman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, finds the theme to fit well as she recently stepped into her position in October of 2024. “Our Chamber has been guided by strong leadership that laid the groundwork for the success we see today,” says Gorman, “Now, as we ‘Step into the Future,’ I’m excited to build on that legacy—embracing new challenges, championing our businesses, and leading with a vision for lasting prosperity.”
