Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber Announces TRANSFORM Message, Board of Directors and Staff Changes

Muskegon, MI – The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce “TRANSFORM” as their annual theme for 2021. TRANSFORM, an acronym that stands for:

Technology Readiness Adapt Now Success Future Opportunities Reinvent Muskegon will be the focus of the organization as the Muskegon Lakeshore business community adapts to the rapid change that has occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In today’s changing world, business transformation is critical to the sustainability and growth of any organization,” said Cindy Larsen, president of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. “This year, the chamber will focus on promoting a dialogue around change and promote the resources needed to support changes in our member’s businesses and organizations.”

With the New Year, also comes changes to the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors and staff. The chamber welcomes 2021 board chair, Dave Hazekamp (Hazekamp Meats/Premier Foods) to help lead the organization and carry-out the TRANSFORM mission. The board of directors officers include vice board chair, Shawn Buckner (Meijer), treasurer, Randy Filbrandt (H&S Companies), and secretary, Anna Duggins (Parmenter Law). New to the board of directors is Tamara Jackson-Gatewood (Huntington Bank) and Jack Russell (Rolar Products). The chamber has also added a new staff member, Jennifer Loechle as the executive manager & innovation leader.

“This past year we have experienced what involuntary transformation looks like in how we operate our businesses and organizations. We’ve had to adapt quickly to the changing landscape created by an outside source,” said Dave Hazekamp, board chair of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. “In 2021 the chamber will focus on promoting a dialogue around transformation from an internal source and will promote resources needed to support changes in the businesses and organizations with a more predictable path going forward.”
