Meet 16 veterans whose homes will be repaired this week

MUSKEGON, MI – Veterans are the focus of the 25th annual Day of Caring in Muskegon County.
United Way of the Lakeshore will use its annual volunteer day on Friday, Sept. 7, to fix up veterans’ homes and yards.
Volunteers will assist 19 local veteran families, including 16 veterans, with home repairs and improvement, and landscaping. They will also work on Veteran’s Memorial Park and sort school supplies for 23 elementary schools in the county.
