MUSKEGON, MI – The MSU Extension Muskegon 4-H program, in partnership with the Lakeshore Art Festival, has created a custom scavenger hunt program specifically for Lakeshore Art Festival attendees! This new interactive event is called the Lakeshore Art Chase and invites all guests who visit the festival in
Downtown Muskegon, MI, to participate in a new and creative scavenger hunt! Families, individuals, or teams can complete missions for points to earn prizes. The Lakeshore Art Chase will guide participants to the various art pieces throughout Downtown Muskegon, to the fine art and craft exhibitors and other sites within the festival footprint, all while encouraging them to use their collective brain power to “chase” and solve riddles! The Lakeshore Art Chase scavenger hunt will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 and will end at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 27.

Lakeshore Art Festival Director, Carla Flanders commented, “We are always looking for new and interactive ways to engage our guests, show off our downtown and partner with local organizations. Working with Muskegon 4-H in developing The Lakeshore Art Chase was a perfect fit!”

“We love engaging with our community and showing all of the great offerings Muskegon 4-H has to offer. Our partnership with the Lakeshore Art Festival was a great way to demonstrate our commitment to community and have fun while doing it!” commented, Tonya Pell, Muskegon 4-H Program Coordinator.

The scavenger hunt will be played using the GooseChase app, which is a free app that can be downloaded on all smart devices. Teams who complete enough missions to reach 2000 points will be placed in a drawing to win prizes.

Teams can register the day of the festival, but it is encouraged to pre-register so the fun can start the minute you arrive!
