JCI Greater Muskegon Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Snowfest

Muskegon, MI – JCI Greater Muskegon is excited to announce Snowfest 2026, celebrating 40 years of winter fun, community spirit, and downtown tradition. Returning in and around the historic Frauenthal Center, Snowfest will offer a full weekend of activities, entertainment, and family-friendly fun for all ages.
Attendees can enjoy Snowfest’s signature events, including the Battle of the Bowls: Soup & Chili Cook-off, Cornhole, Volleyball, Disc Golf, and Euchre Tournament. The Battle of the Bowls will feature local restaurants from Muskegon and Ottawa counties serving their best soups and chilis, with attendees sampling, voting, and celebrating the culinary talent that makes downtown Muskegon thrive in the winter months.
This year also introduces the Snowfest Pub Crawl & Cocktail Competition, encouraging visitors to explore downtown restaurants, try special Snowfest cocktails, and support JCI Greater Muskegon, with $1 from each cocktail benefiting the organization. Evening entertainment will include a Snowfest After Party at Unruly Brewing Company with live music.
Families will find plenty to enjoy, including snow painting, ice age fossil hunting, a kids activity area, meet-and-greets with police officers, firefighters, and mascots, Touch the Trucks, and a Snurfer history lesson at the downtown statue. Activities will expand as far as the Lumberman’s Vault, filling downtown with interactive experiences throughout the weekend.
