Howmet Aerospace Foundation Announces Investments Supporting Three Quality of Life Projects in Muskegon

Muskegon, MI — At the conclusion of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce’s Business for Breakfast Event, Rachel Gorman, President and CEO of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber, announced three quality of life projects in Muskegon being supported by the Howmet Aerospace Foundation.

The Howmet Aerospace Foundation funded projects include:

1. Splash Pad: Renaming and critical mechanical updates to the Splash Pad that is free and open to the public from 8:00AM-11:00PM beginning in May through the third Saturday in September.

2. Sculpture Park: Located in the former parking lot of the Muskegon Museum of Art, the Howmet Sculpture Park will be an exciting new public greenspace that will bring art outdoors for everyone to enjoy.

3. City Center Park: Reimagining the Celebration Square Stage outside of the Hines Building into a fireplace that is the cornerstone of an upgraded pocket park for use during all four seasons, creating a new family friendly and accessible space in Downtown Muskegon.

The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce celebrates the reveal of these investments from the Howmet Aerospace Foundation to support these quality-of-life projects in Muskegon. Together, these projects will enhance the region’s amenities, enhance health and happiness, and contribute to the continued growth and vibrancy of the lakeshore area.
