Goodwill Industries hires new mission services director

MUSKEGON, MI — Goodwill Industries of West Michigan is pleased to announce the recent hire of Kiesha Guy who will step into the role of mission services director effective June 5. The position was vacated by Jeanette Hoyer who was recently promoted to president and CEO. In her new position, Guy will lead all mission-based programs and services for the organization.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join an organization with a rich history and purpose,” Guy said.  “My personal philosophy aligns with the agency’s mission where every person deserves a chance. I look forward to working, enhancing, and contributing to Goodwill’s continued success.”

Guy resigns her position as executive director of Muskegon-Oceana Community Action Partnership (MOCAP) to join the Goodwill team. MOCAP is a Muskegon-based nonprofit organization that provides services such as energy assistance, food support, housing assistance, homebuyer education, and financial counseling to at-risk citizens in Muskegon and Oceana counties.

“We are thrilled to have Kiesha join the Goodwill family,” said Goodwill President and CEO Jeanette Hoyer. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in providing critical programs and services to our community. Her deep understanding of the challenges people face and the resources available — as well as her community connections and leadership skills — will help us navigate this period of growth and change in our Goodwill programming.”

Kiesha previously worked as a community benefits coordinator at Mercy Health and as program director for TrueNorth Community Services. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice / Social Sciences from Ferris State University, and a Master’s of Public Administration from Grand Valley State University.

The mission of Goodwill Industries of West Michigan is to provide work opportunities, skill development, and family strengthening resources in all communities it serves.
