MUSKEGON, MI (11/17/18) – Members of the Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating Club will perform a free Holiday on Ice Show – a Figure Skating Showcase on December 9.

The annual Holiday on Ice Show will include festively-costumed skaters presenting routines to “‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, “Let it Snow”, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”, “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer”, The Nutcracker Suite, “Mele Kalikimaka”, “Mary Did You Know”, the Snow Miser/Heat Miser song, “Jingle Bell Rock” — and more! The local skaters are from Muskegon, North Muskegon, Whitehall, Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Norton Shores.

There are two special guest skaters sure to dazzle: US Figure Skating Association Gold Medalists JoJo Billings and Grace VanZanten. After they perform in the show, they are presenting a skating clinic for the Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating Club members.

Muskegon radio personality Andy O’Riley of the MuskegonChannel Radio and Positively Muskegon will emcee the event.

This year the show is being held at L.C. Walker Arena in Downtown Muskegon. Club President Kelly St.Martin says, “We are excited to join the Downtown Muskegon businesses and bring figure skating to more kids. All those youth hockey skaters may have little sisters who want to jump and spin with us on the ice.” Rad Dads Tacos is remaining open through the show serving food and drinks.

The show begins at 3:45 on Sunday, December 9 at L.C.Walker Arena. Entry is by donation and is fun for the entire family. St.Martin adds, “Come watch our show and see what we are all about.”
