Express Employment Professionals Hosts the Express Clydesdales
Muskegon, Michigan –Express Employment Professionals is bringing their Clydesdale hitch from Oklahoma to West Michigan arriving in Muskegon County May 8th. Of rare black and white color, the Express Employment Professionals Clydesdales stand six feet at the shoulders and weigh more than 2,000 pounds each. Their shoes are the size of dinner plates and weigh more than three pounds each. “We are excited to share our Clydesdales with Holland for Tulip Time and in Muskegon for a special event to thank all our past and present employees,” said Peggy Jacobs, owner of the Holland and Muskegon Express Offices. “Initially, the Clydesdales were coming in for the Tulip Time parades, but when Detersmination Equestrian Center offered to provide the stabling, we were within 10 minutes of our office in Muskegon…it is great how things work out. Having a Muskegon event was important to me as a Muskegon County native.”
The Muskegon event, at 1848 E. Sherman Blvd, is open to the public for carriage rides and pictures, $3 for both (with proceeds going to children’s miracle network), and is FREE to all past and present Express Employment Professionals employees.
“I look forward to providing this unique opportunity to the community and also taking advantage of this exciting time to thank all of our valued employees and their families,” said Peggy Jacobs, Express franchise owner. “We will provide carriage rides, pictures and games to the on May 11th from 4-7pm.”
“Anyone interested in coordinating a BIG West Michigan Welcome for the Express Clydesdales can arrive at Detersminations Equestrian Center around 2:00pm, Tuesday May8th to see the semis arriving and the horses unloading,” said Jacobs. “I want the OKC handlers to see our community and meet our amazing residents. We are so lucky to live in such an amazing place.”
In addition to competing on a national stage, the Express Clydesdales of Express Employment Professionals have participated in some of the most recognized parades and promotional events in the world, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Fiesta Bowl Parade, Orange Bowl Parade, Hollywood Parade, Calgary Stampede Parade, Kentucky Derby Pegasus Parade, the International Finals Rodeo and the Professional Bull Riders World Finals.
The Clydesdales enjoyed a historic moment when they escorted Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge in North America at the Calgary Stampede in 2011.
