Wixom, MI, June 12, 2017: Environmental Resources Group, LLC (ERG) is pleased to announce the opening of their new office in Detroit and the addition of three environmental professionals. The office, located at 17800 Woodward Avenue, joins ERG’s existing locations in Wixom and Muskegon to facilitate service to their expanding client base in the City of Detroit. Joining the ERG team of professionals are Robert C. Anderson PG, EP, Gus A. George, and Mala C. Hetiarachchi, Ph.D., PE.
Mr. Anderson comes with 25+ years of experience in environmental due diligence, hazardous materials assessment (including PCBs, asbestos, lead-based paint and radon), and demolition planning, coordination and over-site. He is also experienced in site remediation for both public and private sector industrial and commercial developments for manufacturers, car dealers, gas stations, dry cleaners, banks and insurance companies. Additionally, Mr. Anderson has been chosen to assist the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Authority (MUSTA) in updating their cost schedule for 2017.
Mr. George joins ERG as Senior Engineer, bringing 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He has worked in locations around the world, specializing in the design and implementation of exploratory drilling, production testing and well simulation and completion programs. Additionally, Mr. George offers more than 25 years of experience as an environmental professional, consulting petroleum facilities throughout the United States.
Ms. Hettiarachchi brings more than 10 years of experience focused in the areas of soil, sediment and groundwater investigation and remediation; numerical modeling of groundwater flow and transport; greenhouse gas mitigation and sustainable waste management. Ms. Hettiarachchi has also peer reviewed multiple environmental engineering publications and technical journals such as Waste Management and International Journal of Environmental Engineering.
