|As a gesture of gratitude to the Muskegon community and our great fanbase, the Muskegon Lumberjacks are offering fans the chance to see the 2016-17 Lumberjacks free of charge. When the Jacks take on Team USA on Saturday, September 10th, all tickets will be free and seats will be general admission.\
For Lumberjacks faithful, this will be the lone chance to see the team play before the regular season kicks off September 23rd. The Jacks play six preseason games, but only one at home.
September 10 will be the first home game for new forwards Andrei Svechnikov and Jordan Timmons, both of whom are new to the Lumberjacks’ organization. Svechnikov is the younger brother of Grand Rapids Griffin Evgeny Svechnikov, who was the Detroit Red Wings’ 2015 first-round pick. At just 16 years old, Andrei is expected to be a staple of Muskegon’s offense.
Timmons was acquired in the first round of this year’s USHL draft, and hopes to make an immediate impact during his first year in Muskegon. Timmons played last year with the Sioux City Musketeers and is committed to play collegiately at the University of Connecticut.
Svechnikov and Timmons will be joined up front by 18-year-old forward Collin Adams, who is a familiar face for Jacks fans. Adams returns to Muskegon for his second USHL season after being named to the USHL All-Rookie team and finishing second among all USHL rookies in points with 61.
The puck will drop at 7:15pm at LC Walker arena. Doors will open at 6:15pm.
