MUSKEGON, MI – Developers are being sought for a key piece of downtown property owned by the city of Muskegon.
The city has issued a request for development proposals for the lot at the corner of West Western Avenue and Jefferson Street. The city purchased the lot for $1 from Jon Rooks’ Parkland Properties, which is renovating the eight-story former bank building next door.
Rooks originally planned to build 24 market-rate apartments on the vacant property, but has since dropped those plans.
