9/11 AMERICAN MUSIC PROGRAM comes to MUSKEGON HACKLEY LIBRARY MONDAY, September 11th 2017 @ 6:00 p.m with YOUTUBE STAR PERFORMANCE!
Pianist/Singer Matthew Ball aka The Motor City Boogie Woogie Kid is the attorney turned musician who now has near 4 million YouTube views! Michigan’s reigning Boogie n’ Blues heavyweight, Ball left the practice of law in 2001 to pursue a life in Music. He will bring his AMERICAN MUSIC program of piano-driven boogie-woogie, ragtime, jazz, and song to the library to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11.
With recent appearances on Fox 2 News Detroit’s ‘The Nine Show’ and Channel 20 News Detroit’s ‘Concert on the Qube’, and back from a year-end Pacific coast tour, Matthew is called a “nationally emerging boogie-woogie master.” His performances are described as “Awesome!” “Crushing!” Fantastic!”
Suffice to say you won’t want to miss this special toe-tappin’, family-friendly program of acrobatic piano favorites and song from the 20s 30s and 40s like In the Mood, Ain’t Misbehavin, This Little Light of Mine, Glory of Love, Basin Street Blues, The Entertainer, Bumble Boogie and many more!
