2022 Chamber Ambassador of the Year
Alex Fonseca, Owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Muskegon, has been named the 2022 Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber Ambassador of the Year!
An Ambassador of the Chamber since 2021, Alex has welcomed dozens of new members to the Chamber by way of either membership, or as a fellow Chamber Ambassador, and has taken an active role in helping existing members remain active and involved in various capacities. He frequently speaks about his initial experience with the Chamber, as an exhibitor with the then-called Home, Garden + Boat Show, and how that translated into future business for him. Says Alex, “Right after the Home, Garden + Boat Show, I had several people reach out to me to take a look at their project, or to receive a quote. It made sense for me to be a member of the Chamber at the point, because I could directly tie my ROI to that specific event.”
Alex is the owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Muskegon. He has been in business for over three years, and his goal is to change the game in customer experience with skilled trades. Alex has lived in West Michigan for almost 10 years now and loves it! One of the things he enjoys the most about his business is his ability to work with and give back to his community – where he lives with his wife Brianna, son August, and dogs Bento and Lola. His community work includes being on the Board of Directors for Solid Rock Housing Support, and the Greater Muskegon Jaycees (JCI). He is also a member of the Chamber – Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg, and the Grand Rapids Chamber, as well as the Muskegon Heights Business Association. Fonseca’s commitment to the mission of the Chamber and his incredible work ethic – not to mention his long standing perfect Google review score (33 reviews and counting!) made him an obvious choice for being recognized as the 2022 Ambassador of the Year.
The Ambassador of the Year award recognizes a person who participates in the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee who exemplifies outstanding participation in chamber events, volunteers for Chamber activities, assists with new Chamber member visits, and is willing to help and engage with initiatives that support Chamber member awareness and growth.
