CIVIL WAR AND GETTYSBURG 2014

September 9, 2014--- The USS Silversides Submarine Museum and Muskegon Community College are partnering again to study and learn about the deadliest and costliest war in our country’s history: the American Civil War. MCC Professors George Maniates and Kurt Troutman will lead and participate in a series of four lectures and then conduct a four-day educational excursion to Gettysburg, PA, October 17-20.

NEW STUDY REVEALS THAT STUDENTS BELIEVE THEY CAN BENEFIT FROM HELP ON HOW TO STUDY

September 5, 2014--- A study, conducted by International Communications Research, found that 69 percent of students between the ages of 13 and 17 agreed they could benefit from help on how to study and take tests better. The survey also revealed that more students get nervous when they sit down to take the test than when they are studying.

Irish Fest Adds Thursday Event to Celebrate 15th Year Anniversary

September 2, 2014---The Michigan Irish Music Festival is having a party to celebrate its 15th anniversary called Ar Scoona. The festival will open the pub tent at Heritage Landing on Thursday, September 11th, from 5pm – 11pm, for Muskegon Ar Scoona, which means “On Tap” in Gaelic.
