RC Productions, Cans From Fans, continue helping those in need
 
Cans From Fans will host their second food drive at the 2010 Muskegon Shoreline Spectacular. The event runs from September 3 through September 6 and the Cans From Fans semi-trailer will be on site all four days. There will also be donation bins located throughout the event.
 
Attendees of the Shoreline Spectacular are encouraged to bring non-perishable food like canned meats and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal, peanut butter and rice to the Cans From Fans semi-trailer. Those who donate food or make monetary donations will receive free parking at locations surrounding the event. Signs will be posted indicating participating parking lots.

Mona Lake Productions and its president Bob Scolnik present a free concert Friday, August 6, featuring the group The Oat Bran Boys at Norton Shores’ Ross Park. Gates open at 6 pm and the concert begins at 7 pm. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring picnic dinners, coolers and lawn chairs. The concert is being underwritten by Mona Lake Productions as a celebration for the community.

Hooker DeJong  Architects Honored For Design Work in Ohio

Hooker DeJong Architects & Engineers of Muskegon was honored by the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) for their redesign work on an affordable housing apartment complex in Newark, Ohio.
 
Each year OCCH honors investors, developers, lenders, management companies, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and government entities that partner with OCCH in the development of and commitment to affordable housing in Ohio. New Betten Honda in Muskegon

The new Betten Honda store opens for business July 16th at 9am. The store is located at 2501 Henry Street, Muskegon, Michigan, 49441. The phone number is 231-755-3757. Chris Baker and Bryan Betten, owners of Betten Chevy of Henry Street and Betten Baker of Coopersville, bought Betten Honda, formerly Tom Miller Honda, in 2007. 
 

Shoreline Vision raises money for visually impaired

 
Run for Sight is a great community event - a 5K run/walk in which Shoreline Vision partners with the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) to help people all over West Michigan who live with severe vision loss. Lakeshore Document Services plays key role in weeklong event

Healthcare Risk Management Week had a positive impact along the lakeshore June 14-18, 2010, and a Chamber member played a major role in that success. Lakeshore Document Services helped agencies discover ways to protect patient records. The company is a full-service document management company that specializes in information destruction, document storage and management, book scanning and digital conversion for microfilm and microfiche. FineLine Creative, a Muskegon based marketing and creative services firm announced today Shelli Bell has joined the team as an account manager. Chamber Member Receives Impressive Certification

 Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor - Relaunch Open House

January 12, 2010 - Muskegon, MI--The Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor will celebrate its “relaunch” with an event Jan. 19 from 4-7 p.m.  The downtown hotel and meeting center, 939 Third, has been upgraded along with the entire Holiday Inn chain.  Muskegon Mayor Steve Warmington is scheduled for a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. The event will include refreshments, live entertainment and door prizes.
