Muskegon Business Political Action Committee

The Muskegon Business Political Action Committee (MBPAC) is an independent, non-partisan committee that exists for the purpose of financially supporting and endorsing candidates and legislators, policies and positions on a state level.  In the future we may consider contributing to local and federal legislative efforts that are aligned with the interests of the greater Muskegon business community.

The MBPAC is not funded by corporate funds or by membership dues.  It offers business leaders the opportunity to make individual contributions towards business advocacy efforts.  Funds are distributed based on a careful review of candidate's positions on issues and voting records made by MBPAC committee members. 

The Muskegon Business Political Action Committee will provide a vehicle for those members who wish to supplement their business advocacy efforts to combine with others to financially support and endorse candidates, policies and positions that are aligned with the interests of the greater Muskegon business community

Over the years, the idea of creating a Muskegon business political action committee has been discussed.  With the increasing participation of the Muskegon business community in the public policy arena, several business leaders have suggested now is the time to finally take the step of creating an independent political action committee.

The political action committee (PAC) will financially participate in the support of qualified candidates for public office (initially at the state level) and promote public understanding of issues through political education.  Participation in the PAC is purely voluntary.

The MBPAC provides the opportunity for Muskegon businesses to financially support and communicate directly with key state policy makers and, most importantly, create a political identity for Muskegon business interests.
