Health Benefit Survey Results
The annual Health Benefits Survey was created to gather information about employers' current, previous and projected health care insurance coverage.
Approximately 7% of the Chamber membership participated in the survey, offering a good representation of business size and sectors.
This survey will offer information regarding the reported types of plans, percentages of premiums covered for employees and dependents, co-pay amounts and anticipated initiatives for cost management.
According to the survey, 79% of employers offer one type of plan. The majority of employers offer some level of coverage to full time employees and dependents, as illustrated by this chart:
Employers are increasingly reporting a trend in moving away from traditional plans and toward plans such as HSA's and HRA's.
